The congress brought together 3,705 participants from 132 countries.
Abstract Submission
WCA2028 is a global meeting of ideas, experience and innovation. We invite you to contribute your work to the scientific programme and share it with colleagues from across the world.
To allow presenters sufficient time to plan their attendance, abstract submissions will be accepted in two rounds.
Round 1: 19 January – 23 March 2027
Notification: 14 May 2027
Round 2: 08 September – 20 October 2027
Notification: 15 December 2027
Why two submission rounds?
WCA2028 will welcome presenters from around the world. For some countries, obtaining a Canadian visa can take considerable time. The two-round submission process allows presenters to receive a decision on their abstract earlier and gives them more time to plan their travel and visa application.
If you require a visa to travel to Canada, we strongly recommend submitting your abstract in Round 1. This will give you the earliest possible notification and more time to complete the visa application process and make your travel arrangements.

Both submission rounds are part of the WCA2028 abstract programme, and all abstracts will be considered through the same scientific review process.
